All about Shillpa Purii’s Jewellery Exhibition at “Araaish”
October 14, 2016
Attending a jewellery exhibition was sort of different from the events I have attended in the past 1 year of my blogging career and this was one of the firm reasons I agreed to attend the event “Araaish” on 13th sept’16 at Taj Bengal.
Although my prime work was reviewing Mumbai based jewellery designer Shillpa Puri’s work and interview her for the same yet I went there for my own benefits too! Benefits of reviewing such amazing collections of such a renowned name in the business, check out the amazement of the event and obviously recapitulating all my memories of going to Taj for dinner and lunch with family as I visited Taj after almost 4years as I got caught up with my studies & blogging!
About the exhibition and interview:
The collection consisted of jewellery for the upcoming festive and wedding season using crystals, pearls, semi precious and rough stones.
Shillpa Purii used a lot of elements that are rich, versatile and evergreen which make it desirable for women of any age. The collection mainly consisted of traditional , ethnic, with few pieces leaning towards indo western included to suit the modern women’s sense of fashion.
Designer Shillpa Purii feels, “This sort of jewellery is evergreen and can be worn by girls and women of any age group. India is filled with festivities and big weddings and such pieces of my festive collection can really be brought to play.”
She also added , ” My collection this time has earrings , neckpieces , bangles , kamarbandh , maangtikas, etc , that is, everything that a woman needs to doll her up for any occasion and the collection being exclusively designed is sure to stand out at its best” .
The collection is also available at multi-designer stores – Kali , Simaaya , Jhoomar and Citrine also in Kolkata. So don’t forget to check them out in the respective stores and am sure you’ll get back home super happy.
All in all it was a great event and I got to check out such wonderful designs and have a different but a great experience.
